    Abstract

Maps quote and reshape existing narratives through their representations, such as names and images. This study analyzes representations on two canoe maps to explore how they (re)shape specific narratives and guide readers to the land. Through this exploration, I envision fostering more ethical and responsible dialogue through maps for decolonization.
