Abstract
The Sinemurian-Pliensbachian boundary is marked by a negative carbon isotope excursion, indicating a drastic change in the global carbon cycle. Palynofacies analysis of the Prees 2C core from the Cheshire Basin, UK, suggests that this interval was associated with marine transgression and the development of low-oxygen (anoxic) conditions.Poster
